Just when I thought I had finally gotten the hang of posting regularly on this here blog, Luke went and spoiled it for me by being amazing. About three weeks ago a US company approached him about an upcoming position they thought he would be suited for...which just happened to be the #1 company in the US that Luke wanted a job with...doing the exact same thing that he does here, but there....And so he beat out all of the Americans who had applied for the job, without even stepping foot in the country. I guess that's how it's done, huh?
And so with roughly two weeks notice(!!!!), we have packed up our apartment and all of our worldly belongings, and sent them off on a boat to make a three month journey by sea to our new home (which we don't actually have yet...but that's a story for another day). All we have now are these 5 suitcases and 2 duffel bags, which we will live out of for a few months. Doesn't that sound just spectacular?
Anyway, all of this is to say that today (Day 680) was my last day living in Australia for a while, and 12 hours from right now we will begin our 30 hour journey of relocation to...Boston.
Wish us luck!
P.S. I'm going to miss Australia so, so, SOOOOO much.
